It’s that time of the year… There is a sense of magic in the air, a bit of excitement, or is it anxiety? Scenes of past holidays flood your memory, visit to Santa’s Village at the mall (anxiety), trip to the snow (joy and anxiety), opening gifts on Christmas Day (joy), visiting grandparents the day after Christmas and stuck on the road for four hours (definitely anxiety).
We are in the season with lots of expectations (whether it’s from your kids, family, or even yourself). We need to find time to slow down, to allow each other to breath. Our kids will be at home with you for the next 18 days, and there is bound to be more sibling fighting and general tension in your family. You may be one of the lucky ones who have no idea what I am talking about because the holidays are great and everyone gets along! Well then, enjoy this popular holiday cheer sprinkled with some positive discipline reminders anyhow. Happy Holidays to my Village Family!

That they are capable
To find their own solutions on their own and leave the room
