About Me:
Having attended kindergarten through eighth grade in Campbell schools, I am especially grateful to now serve the same community that helped shape me. I believe learning is most powerful when teachers and families work side by side to support student growth. Open communication and strong partnerships between home and school create a foundation where students feel supported, valued, and confident.
In my classroom, children are active participants in their learning. I believe students construct their own knowledge through inquiry, collaboration, and reflection. Hands-on experiences are essential, as meaningful exploration helps children make connections, think critically, and take ownership of their learning. I also aim to nurture gifts of character, helping students develop empathy, kindness, and perseverance as they grow.
My husband and I are proud parents of grown children who continue to inspire my work as an educator. I also created the Cooking with Character curriculum, which blends literacy, math, science, character development, original music, and hands-on learning. In my free time, I enjoy writing and performing music, creative pursuits that continually influence and enrich my teaching.
