My School Year Reflections

Big changes are in store for the Fearless Falcons next year — 4th graders will be the new ‘big kids on campus’, while 5th graders will venture out into the world of middle school. Hear what’s on their minds, as they reflect on their time at Village and anticipate the year ahead.

I really love this year at village and am excited for the next one. I loved being in a 4/5 combo. Being with 5th graders was a lot of fun. One thing that could improve is the amount of art and music we have, I would like to have 2 art times a week and 2 pe times a week. I want this because around this age lots of kids have after school sports and too much pe is boring. I think we should have more art because I think art is really fun!

Another thing I love about village was the upcycling center. I really hope we have that next year. Having the upcycling center let us use the creative side of our brains.

Well thank You for reading about my year and I hope you think about some of my ideas.

Sincerely,
Amanda

Hi, my name is Jamie and I have had so much fun in village school, I am in 4th grade but I know village is going to be my school in my heart for ever. I still have one more year at village but my time is coming to an end at this amazing school. I hope I can make the most of my last year at village. If I didn’t chose village as my school who knows where I would be now. I have made so many kind, happy, and extraordinary friends the last five years. If you are looking for an elementary school for your child to go to this is the school to go to. Village school teaches kid stuff that you can’t learn from most school like how to deal with bullies, how to believe in yourself, to never give up, and to have fun!

Dear village voice,

This school year has been truly a AMAZING year! In the beginning of the school year i was nervous about going to 4th grade, but now I feel like this has been the best school year ever!!!! I love my friends! I love! Love! LOVE! My teacher!

and I hope that all of my classmates had the best year too! I really hope that I get talia again because she is sooooooooo nice! And sooooooooo awesome! And I love that she is nice and awesome! Next year I am going to 5th grade, and I really feel like I do not want to go to 5th grade but I know that it will be great! (at least I hope!).

I also hope that if some of classmates are going to middle school, they have fun there and they like that school as much as village school.

THE END!

Dear Village Voice,

All my years here been amazing. I came here in second grade and it’s been probably the best school I’ve been to. I have a lot of amazing and nice friends. The other kids are still fun and nice. The teacher’s help you through pretty much all of your problems. Whether it’s a math problem or a bully. We have had a lot of amazing field trips. Some are cogswell college, NASA, Sacramento and much more. We also had an amazing science camp. We went to walden west and we had an astronomy night, a night hike, a jeopardy night and campfire night. We also have an amazing library and we have the privilege to use laptops. All in all this was probably the best school I’ve been to.

The number one think I will always remember from Village School is the Village Camping Trip, and Walden west. The teachers were always the best and are always nice to everyone. The community was also equally awesome. What I liked about the camping trip was that I could hang out with my friends all day and ride my bike around the camp. At Walden West we got to do a lot of hiking and games in the mountains with everyobody. This was one of the best years at Village School.

Dear Village Voice,

My six years at Village has been AWESOME! I never want to leave (but I have to go to Middle School :/). Starting from the teacher’s to the school in general the school is wonderful! I remember on the first day of school here, I wasn’t exactly super excited for it. But towards the end of the day you meet great teachers and friends. One of the things I find that I like the most, is the field trips. In first grade you go to Pizza My Heart, and in fifth grade you go to NASA. But in every grade you get to go on even more field trips! Village also lets the fifth/fourth grader’s fund raise, for science camp. I am very excited through (a little) for Middle School but will always miss Village.

I remember Village School for all of it’s field trips. I think that my favorite field trip was NASA. When we went to NASA we got to go in the “Space Station” where we got to do tasks that they would do on the real Space Station. Then we went to a dome where they projected a movie about going to mars. After that, we went to a spinny thing where we spun around trying to throw balls to each other, that simulated shooting a rover to a planet. One of the other field trip was the recycling center, where we learned how to recycle and we got to see how the recycling process worked Overall, my favorite thing about Village is the field trips.

Hi I am shane and I am eleven years old. I have been in village since kindergarten and now in 5th grade, of all these years I have learned in many thing and many life lessons that have taught me to be who I am to this day. Some of my many hobbies are biking, running, soccer, video games, game designing and 3D designing. In my many years to come I have no set path for my journey is just the beginning. Although if I had to choose to pick a job it would be either engineer, scientist or maybe pro soccer player.

The people responsible for all my learning is truly the teachers, not only the ones I had but all the teachers of this school. Also the staff of this school and the whole community of village are the best and most supportive of all. This is most likely the best school I’ll ever go to. Every persona at this school is the best community I could ever wish for.

And I hope that the middle school I go to next year will be just as good as village school.
