New PJ’s

Do you get new PJ’s every year? I do. Most Decembers I get new pajamas. Me my mom and my dad do it. Although most of the time I am the only one who does it. Since I celebrate Christmas I usually get Christmas themed PJ’s. I don’t get to wear them until Christmas eve. I can get any type I want. My favorite so far are my ones from this year, the top is red with a penguin skiing and candy cane pants. Last year I got a red, white, and pink nightgown. I am super excited for this years PJ’s!!!!!!!
 

Presents Tradition

My tradition is getting presents on Christmas morning. Gifts start showing up under the tree all month. First, my Dad and mom get presents from Amazon (Usually). Second, we wait for more gifts until December 25th. Sometimes I like my gifts, and sometimes I don’t…I like to open the presents and play with them. This year I hope to get some galaxy themed clothes and Robux.
 

Advent Calendar

Do you have a Advent calendar? We have a big one. We do it every December. We pick our initials out of a hat to decide who go’s 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. When I say, we I mean me Ty Ben Sydney Mom Dad. It starts on December 1st to December 24. Each card has an activity in it that is really fun. The front is decorated really cool. We always love to open the cards!
 

Making gingerbread houses

Every winter me and my family always make a gingerbread house. Do you Make a gingerbread house? Usually I can’t wait to eat the candy. I just eat one or two or even three as I am building. We have sour gummies, M&M’s, regular gummies and frosting yummmmmmm. When I attach the gingerbread house we use frosting. We put the gummies on top of the gummies to stick. WE ALWAYS HAVE FUN EVERY YEAR.

Do you cut down a Christmas tree? My family does. Each year we go to a Christmas tree farm to cut down a tree. We always bring an old saw and apple cider. Sometimes we go with friends. We all get to chose the tree. We look for a tree that is about 44 inches wide and 6 feet tall. My dad and I cut it down. My dad and mom put in on the roof of the car. We bring the tree home and decorate it together. I look forward to this every year!
 

Colorado

Have you ever been to Colorado? If you have been, do you think it’s fun? Because I’ve been.We go to Colorado every year, when we go it is really snowy, it is so snowy that sometimes we even go sledding in the mountains. We go at Christmas time. When we get there we meet my grandma and grandpa. Me and Sienna always open our presents first, because we are the youngest. A couple days before Christmas we hang our stockings up. On Christmas day we go out to eat dinner. Me and Sienna play on the frozen pond at my grandparents house. We wear our santa hats as we open presents. I am really looking forward to be in the snow again.

I love to go because I get to spend time with my familia! It’s so fun, after a little family time we head to the Christmas tree and open gifts. That is also super fun. I love to see all the pretty gifts under the tree. They are neatly wrapped under the beautiful tree, every one gathers around the tree. The kids usually go first, which is nice of course. After that we eat YUMMY food Mmmmmmmm… YUM! SUPER YUM. My Grandma’s cooking’s the BEST! After that we play with our new things. Then We have desert, then we play some more then we leave. I’M REALLY HAPPY WE’RE GOING TO DO IT AGAIN

Do you like Christmas in the park? I do! Every year we go to Christmas in the park. We go and see the lights and decorations. I enjoy being with my family and walking around! Sometimes if it is too cold we drive around the park. This year me and my mom got to dance in Christmas in the park. Me and my mom teach hula and are hula dancer dance in Christmas. We would take photos by the light. I love Christmas in the park! I can’t wait to go every year!
 

Traveling!!!

Do you like traveling on Christmas Eve? Well my family does. We’ve been to Mexico and Hawaii a few times. Last year we traveled to Mexico and we were there for one week. My favorite part about Mexico is that there’s a wet bar in the pool and I can get some drinks anytime I want in the pool. There is also a water slide. We usually go on Christmas Eve and open our presents before we go to the airport. This year I’m hoping to go to Mexico with my family and friend’s family, but this year we are not going to travel somewhere far but we might go with our friends to christmas in the park or Tahoe. I am looking forward to staying in Tahoe for a week or have a lot of fun in Christmas in the park.

In December, Me and my family decorate special cookies. First we make the dough. Then we cut them out with cookie cutters, my favorite is the reindeer . After we put them into the oven for about 10-15 minutes. At the end we decorate them with glaze and sprinkles. We eat one I always eat the reindeer. It’s always loads of fun I can’t wait for next year.

Do you get to pass out presents on Christmas day? On Christmas afternoon me and my mom pass out presents to our family. My cousins and aunts and uncles are all together at my house or my cousin’s house. Once all the presents are past out we all open our presents at the same time. Do you stay up late on New Years Eve? Well I do. Every year we watch Phish the band and drink grape juice. The show starts at 8:00pm. It is so cool, there are so many cool lights, they are so bright. Cinnamon Rolls Tradition

Does your family make cinnamon rolls for Christmas? Well my family does! My mom makes them for our family. Every Christmas we get to eat two! They’re really good! I taste the batter to see if it’s good. If it’s good, then we use it. We sprinkle on cinnamon before we bake them. Then usually the frost them when they come out of the over. Do you like Christmas lights? I do!! Once a year we go to Vasona Lights to see all the holiday lights. Sometimes we drive, sometimes we walk. We see lights shaped like a snowman, Mickey Mouse and a dinosaur. We also see an igloo and and elf driving a car. This year was the best year ever because we also saw houses in our neighborhood decorated. I look forward to seeing the lights this year.

Once we find a tree we look if it has branches on all sides if it it does we start to saw when were done us kids carry it back to the car then Dad ratchet straps it to the car. Chinese New Year

Even though not a lot of people celebrate Chinese New Years Eve,my family does.Sometimes my mom has a gigantic party with a lot of food that no grown-ups can stop eating.There are about 7 or more gigantic food choices to choose from and 3 main foods that you have to eat.My mom can make all the dinner and Virginia which is Ian and Audrey’s mom makes treats.The food is usually good for adults but the kids all think that we have to escape to play video games. We are always playing video games because we can play as long as we want and sometimes we have 1 eye on making a fort to play video games in so our parents don’t bother us and we have the other eye on playing video games. We only stop playing when we have to take a picture or eat dinner which is very sad. Ian and I plan the next game we play while Audrey and Alicia talk about girly stuff like LOL Surprise dolls (more like LOL STUPID dolls) and Ethan, Jason and Evan talk about random stuff. I play on computer with Ian and other people play on my 2 other ipads because I don’t wanna be on a glitchy device. When it is time to go home my mom hands out a goody bag without toys only food and only for adults.
 

The el gato parade

Are you in the el gato parade every year? I am!

Every december I get to bring a scooter to scooter around in the parade while my dad walks. It’s actually called the christmas parade but me and all the the other girls in my group call it the el gato parade. Me and my dad go early so that they don’t start without us. My dad always brings a huge thing of hot cocoa and whipped cream. When more people get there we would start a big pile of ribbons and then we would start decorating our ]scooters. When the parade starts there would be a huge line that moves about every 2 minutes. When we get to the front we are free to scooter anywhere in the arya we are using. And if we want we can give hi-fives to the audience. When we get to the end there is a huge downhill that we can ride down. On the way back to the car me and my dad stop for lunch at a mexican restaurant. After we eat we would go to the car and go home. I can’t wait for next year!

Did you ever go skiing before? I guess you have but every Christmas I go skiing. First, I have to drive there of course (which takes about 4-6 hrs to get there).When we get there, we go skiing for 2-4 hours. We start on easy tracks then medium but not hard tracks or super hard because it is too hard.Green circle=Easy. Blue square=medium.Black diamond = hard. Double black diamond(experts only). I can’t wait to ski with my dad.
 

Cutting down the christmas tree

Do you cut your christmas tree down? I do. Every December me and my family cut down our Christmas tree. We go to lassen National park! We get our permit and then we find our tree. Once we have found our tree we go back to the car to get the saw. Then we cut it down and put the permit tag on and drive home. I can’t wait for next year!

I get a Christmas tree every year in the Santa Cruz mountains because my grandparents live there. They always come with me and my family. We get apple cider every time because they sell it and the tree farm is called Peacock even though it doesn’t have peacocks.

The Christmas tree farm has goats that you can feed. This year we went to another tree farm called Mountain Charlie Tree farm because it is on Mountain Charlie road. It felt the same even though it didn’t have any apple cider or goats. There we found an already cut down Christmas tree in the the back, it was really good. I don’t know why the person who cut it down left it there. It was too tall so we cut off some of it and brought it home to decorate it.
 

Basketball Tournament nba

Me and my dad play in a basketball tournament as a December tradition. We pick a basketball team from the NBA, then we play as that team for the rest of the season. The season starts from December 25th to January 13th, my birthday. Whoever goes to the finals and wins gets to have a prize. I will win a prize, but not too expensive. Last year me and my dad tied. We went on vacation and then I got a hat. The next time I play in a basketball tournament I will win against him. 

My Traditions of Christmas

On Christmas Eve I make Christmas cards to my family. My brother and I pick some Christmas movies and we sometimes listen to me play Christmas songs on the Piano. And when I’m done playing the Christmas songs on the piano, my family claps when I am done playing. Sufganiyot

Sufganiyot are a type of jelly donut that you eat at Hanukkah. You put powdered sugar on them. You can put jelly inside them. Or you can put nothing in them which is my favorite. Also you can have them with chocolate. I personally don’t like the ones with pineapple so I don’t eat them. My family eats them at night and day, but mostly at night. My mom makes sufganiyot. It is my favorite treat for Hanukkah.

Before Santa comes to our house we decorate and get a small or big Christmas tree. We decorate the Christmas tree so Santa can give my family lots and lots of presents. New Years

On New Years, my family always counts down until midnight. Also my brother and I change our watches to the right time. We usually go to Los Angeles to celebrate with the rest of my family. When my family goes to Los Angeles to see my grandma & grandpa, we eat special foods. I will tell you SOME of them. On New Year’s eve, my family and I eat soba, soba is a brown noodle that you eat in a type of broth. During the new year’s time, my family also celebrates Oshogatsu. My mom, my brother and I all clean our rooms while my dad helps clean the kitchen and the living room. Another food we eat is ozoni. Ozoni is mochi in broth with veggies. There are two more foods that we have, mochi in a sweet powder, we also have sweetened soy beans called kuromame. And that is what we do on New Year’s!

We usually like to watch the Christmas classics like Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, The Little Drummer Boy, and the Polar Express. Also, for our family, Santa always gives us special chocolate Santas, one for me and one for Aidan, my brother. I’d have to say that Christmas is my first favorite holiday. I just love to wake up on Christmas and see what’s in my stocking. And a few weeks before Christmas there is a special block party at my friend Gabriele’s house where everybody brings a special treat and there are arts and crafts for the kids. It is very fun and a good chance to make friends.

I got a Christmas tree on the 11th of December. I celebrate Christmas or if Hanukkah is after Christmas I go and celebrate Hanukkah with Nate and Lucy. We go skiing together. When it is Christmas morning we get waffles with ice cream and whip cream and sprinkles too. I use an advent calendar to countdown to Christmas day. That is why I like Christmas.

On Christmas morning my sister and I always get so tempted to open our presents. But we can’t until our mom and dad wake up and then we can open five presents. But until then we have to wait. We invite everyone in the family to Christmas breakfast. When everyone comes then we can open our stocking presents. Next we have breakfast, we always have loads of fruit and we have scrambled eggs, hash browns, pancakes and french toast. After breakfast we have a little break for last minute presents. Then we open presents. My sister and I give the presents to everyone. That job is called the elf. After we give all the presents to everyone we open our presents. Now we get to play with our new toys with our family. When our family leaves, we clean up and we have to take a nap. After we take a nap, we get ready to go to Christmas dinner. We go to my grandma’s house for Christmas dinner. My grandma uses a special bell that she rings when it’s dinner time. She uses that bell for Thanksgiving and Christmas only. We eat mashed potato and special butter corn. That corn is special because it is really buttery. Now we have a little break so that we’re not full for dessert. When it’s time for dessert, we sit at the table and eat pie, brownies, strawberries with whipped cream, and ice cream. Then the Christmas tradition is over.

The way we play is instead of counting 1…2…3…4…5…6…7…8…9…10…like that instead we spell christmas ten times like this “C…H…R…I…S…T…M…A…S…C…H…R…I…S…T…M…A….S” and ect. Do you know my holiday traditions? Well if not, I will tell you. Norooz is Iranian New Year. It is different from the new year in America. We don’t stay up until midnight. We celebrate it in the middle of March. We have a tray that has things that’s name starts with [sssss]. It is called a half seen. It is very fun when I bring the half seen from our house to school. My Mexican traditions

Every year my grandma and I go to Mexico. I have a lot of fun over there. I bring milk, beans, rice and groceries. On the long drive we pass through Hollywood, a desert and we can see the border wall. We have a house in the town of Durango de Santiago. Every day I play with my family. We play spin the bottle and have races with our bikes. Sometimes we see cows roaming around. They like to eat the grass. In the evening my family gathers for dinner at my great grandmothers house. My favorite part of this family tradition is when we play spin the bottle because we are laughing and having fun.

For Christmas my family and I eat crab every year for dinner and it’s so good! When it’s christmas morning my family takes turns opening presents and the gronups open their presents last. We play a lot of games like candy land, twister, we also play some games we made up. On Christmas break, my family [mom, dad, and me] goes skiing in Reno or sometimes other places with friends and other family members. We sometimes celebrate my birthday [December 27] on Christmas. The adults set up the gifts on Christmas eve at midnight. We sometimes decorate a tiny Christmas tree. We don’t have many traditions, so I think these are about all of them.
