About Me:
I was born and raised in Western New York. I grew up in the small college town of Geneseo, New York on Conesus Lake. I spent most of my youth fishing, swimming, and getting into trouble. During my high school years, I volunteered in my mother's special education classroom and was captain of the swim team. I attended SUNY Fredonia and participated in the award winning Fredonia/Hamburg student teaching program. I returned home to Geneseo to get my Master's. I was also a senior counselor at a summer camp for children with special needs.

I have been a dedicated teacher and coach since 1998. I taught 2nd grade in Dansville, New York for 10 years. I also coached the girls' and boys' swim teams, and the tennis team. Since moving to California, I taught 3rd and 4th grade. I am excited to be back at Village and teaching 2nd grade again!

I live near the beach in Santa Cruz with my wife. I enjoy rooting for my favorite sports teams: the Bills (I'm quickly becoming a Niners fan though), the Yankees (though I love going to A's and Giants games), and the Sabres (I still can't root for the Sharks). I also enjoy playing the guitar, reading, swimming, and surfing as much as possible.
