Class Calendar
The following Parent Education classes are offered and encouraged during your time at Village School:
Positive Discipline @ School
New families attend PD @ School which is held during the first and second week of school. This is required for all new families before parents participate in the classroom.
No Bully Training
Required for all new families before parents participate in the classroom. New families will attend this training during the third week of school. If you are a returning family and have not yet completed the No Bully Training, we ask that you commit to completing this training during the coming school year.
All Parent Training
ALL parents attend an All Parent Training which is held during the 4th week of school. Please attend one session that most closely matches your scheduled work shift. If you have more than one child, please choose to attend the session that works best for you. If you work Wednesday afternoon, please choose any other time to attend.
Positive Discipline @ Home
Can be taken any time your family is at Village. Recommended by end of your first year at Village. This is often the 2nd class families opt to take. We recommend new families wait until the Winter or Spring offering of the class instead of jumping in during the Fall which is often an overwhelming time.
Project Cornerstone
Can be taken any time your family is at Village. Recommended by 3rd grade.
When are PD @ Home and Project Cornerstone Classes Offered?
We aim to offer classes at various times during the year so that all families can find one that works for them. Scheduled offerings are based on interest from the community, availability of our volunteer facilitators, and available meeting space (which can be particularly challenging on some days at Village School). If you have any questions about class offerings, please contact Parent Ed Coordinator, Amy Dalziel, at amydalziel [at] sbcglobal.net.
