Village Community More Than Doubles Fundraiser Goal for Second Harvest Silicon Valley

Thanks to the generosity of our students, families, and staff, we raised enough money to provide 12,890 meals through Second Harvest Silicon Valley.

Our Village community has once again shown what we can accomplish when we come together with purpose and heart. During the month of November,  our school took on the challenge of raising funds to support Second Harvest Silicon Valley, setting an initial goal to provide 5,000 meals to local families. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our students, families, and staff, we didn’t just meet our goal - we more than doubled it!

In total, we raised enough funds to provide 12,890 meals to individuals and families in our community. This incredible achievement reflects the spirit of compassion, leadership, and community that defines our school.

Students helped champion the effort by making posters and raising money in creative ways such as holding their own yard sales and lemonade stands and doing extra chores to earn money at home.    Families and staff contributed through donations, encouragement, and partnership. Every gift, large or small, helped us build momentum and make a meaningful impact.  Second Harvest was so impressed with our students that they invited us to be a part of a special news segment featuring community giving that will be airing later in December - look for us on KPIX Channel 5!

We are deeply grateful for the kindness and commitment of everyone who participated. Your contributions ensure that thousands of our neighbors will have access to nutritious meals, and your support models the power of giving for our students.

Thank you for helping us turn our fundraiser into something truly extraordinary. Together, we made a difference!
